Each division does have a certain level of fitness that is required and each training program is designed with the physical fitness level of athletes in mind.

The Tactical Nation is created with an eye on ensuring that no single discipline dominates the other. A fairly fit athlete with great tactical markmanship is able to beat a really fit athlete who's precision shooting skills may be average.

The Tactical Nation is about taking your skills and ALL ROUND capabilities to new heights.

BE PREPARED

  • ACCURACY LEVELS

    Being accurate whilst under duress, both physically, mentally and under the clock, is the key to any situation and this is what The Tactical Nation competition is about.


    Intermediate level for both men and women is about being safe and competent with your firearm in moments of duress and that is what we suggest you should train for.


    Aim for a 65% accuracy in the A Zone with your hand gun at 15 metres and 65% accuracy in the C Zone at 150m with your Rifle.


    Sounds too easy? Trust us, when your heart is going at 180BPM, you sweating, your hands are wet, your lungs are burning, this is as close to real life combat and self defence situations you will get.

    YOU WILL IMPROVE.

    This is about challenging your skills in a safe and friendly environment.


    Warrior level is based on the Tactical Division in the USA and the next level is Elite (Coming in Season Two of TTN).


    We not going to be easy on you, we want the winner of the TTN Warrior Division in 2025 to head to the USA and compete for the win.


    So we setting the challenge for YOU to hit that 80% accuracy mark. That's the mark by the end of the Season we are challenging you to hit consistently.

  • COURSE OF FIRE

    These will include a combination of handgun and rifle shooting in a 2 gun type course or rifle or handgun only challenges.

  • TRAINING AND PRACTICE

    You will soon notice our Shop page opening which will include all the gear needed, the official TTN Targets for you to download, a training guide, video series and our app.

    All design to get you to the range and practicing.

THE INTERMEDIATE LEVELS ARE FOR EVERYONE, THE SUGGESTED PHYSICAL ABILITIES ARE A GUIDELINE AND A GOAL.

MEN'S INTERMEDIATE

Suggested Physical Abilities:

RUN - 3km Max

Sub 8 Minute Kilometre in Full Kit.

Sub 6.45 min per kilometre free of kit.

WEIGHT

Ability to move a 65kg sandbag

(pull, drag, lift to waist height)

Perform tasks with odd objects weighing 20-60kg for a duration of 8-12 min consistently.

Generally in good physical condition.

This is a a division that is the 1st Tier in the USA and does require a bit of physical fitness.

Burpee Options if tasks cannot be completed.

MEN'S WARRIOR

Suggested Physical Abilities:

RUN - Up to 5km

Sub 7 Minute Kilometre in Full Kit.

Sub 6.30 min per kilometre free.

WEIGHT

1. Ability to move a 65kg sandbag

(pull, drag, lift to waist height).

2. Perform tasks with odd objects weighing 20-60kg for a duration of 8-12 min consistently.

3. Ability to perform more complex functional fitness exercises like rope climbing.

4. Generally in good physical condition with above average fitness levels.

This is a a division that is based on the Tactical Division in the USA and does require a decent level of fitness.

Tasks must be completed. We need to get tough on you to prepare you and push you to achieve greatness.

MEN'S MASTERS 40+ Years of age

Suggested Physical Abilities:

RUN - Up to 3KM continuously

Sub 8 Minute Kilometre in Full Kit

Sub 6.45 min per kilometre.

WEIGHTS

Ability to move a 75kg sandbag (pull, drag, lift to waist height).

Perform tasks with odd objects weighing 20-60kg for a duration of 8-12 min consistently.

Generally in good physical condition.

The Masters division takes into account that as father time catches up with us we may find endurance levels wane and we not as flexible as we could be.

The stages and tasks relect this and we believe that focusing more on strength exercises and functional exercises that are easier on the joints creates a great competitive division that will see our Men get off the couch and rekindling that competitive spirit.

WOMEN'S INTERMEDIATE

Suggested Physical Abilities:

RUN - Up To 3KM

Sub 8 Minute Kilometre in Full Kit

Sub 7 min per kilometre free.

WEIGHTS

Ability to move a 50kg sandbag

(pull, drag, lift to waist height).

Perform tasks with odd objects weighing 10-40kg for a duration of 8-12 min consistently.

A reasonable level of fitness is advised

WOMEN'S TEAM EVENT

If you not feeling comfortable to compete alone we have the option of competing in the Women's Team event.

So grab your girlfriend and let's get competing.

For 2025 the team event will only need one of the members to have their SAPS competency certificate and if you have not yet purchased a firearm or are still waiting on your licence we have our rental firearms available.
