New Athlete Guide: Checklist for Success

PREPARING FOR SUCCESS

This is a new sport where everyone is learning and no athlete will be perfect. This may be a competition at the event but we are and always will be a community.

What we can control is ensuring we are prepared. 

Before The Event

Integrate All Displines in your Training:

Combine cardio, strength training and shooting practice. Spend time learning techniques especially with standard Cross Fit techniques.

Know Your Gear:

The biggest lesson we can give is using a martial arts cliche of making your firearm an extension of yourself.

Take the time to train wearing all the gear you are going to use at an event. Get yourself comfortable and the event will be easier.

Safety Procedures

We have a full download area with all the safety procedures before, after and during the event.

These are crucial to learn and practice so it becomes second nature.

At The Event

Stay Hydrated:

Bring plenty of water and electrolytes. Our Athlete Heaven is there, use it.

Network:

Use this opportunity to connect with like-minded competitors, create groups, create training plans and build the community.

Have Fun:

Remember, it’s a challenge, but it's about fun, improving your skills, getting fit and healthy and the experience will be as incredible as you make it.
