BATTLE SHOT presented by Archon Firearms

Adapting to the needs of the market and as we launch The Tactical Nation as a premium shooting sport promotion we wanted to add in a challenge that could give an opportunity to those athletes that are just pistol owners.

We also wanted to create a further attraction to our events and make this the biggest shooting competition ever.

Enter Battle Shot, designed, tested and ultimately ready to hit the competition range EXACTLY two months before the launch of our first event for what will become the biggest shooting sport promotion in the world.

Battle Shot brings the same sporting fusion of physical fitness and marksmanship but with a unique knockout format and slight adaptions that adds to the excitement of the stages.

Battle Shot is adaptable to any weapon system, but there are key elements that must be there including the chance to get back into the main draw, making it highly competitive and making it inclusive and obviously loads of fun.

Battle Shot is the product that we believe will be able to make the most exciting television with it's knockout format and unique scoring challenges that can flip a match on its head.

In Battle Shot athletes compete against another athlete in an ELIMINATION format. Athletes are drawn into a bracket, at random, at the start of Day One.

Athletes only compete against their opponent in a match, there is no overall time or points scoring.

The winner advances to the next round and the loser is either eliminated or sent to the Wild Card Shootout.

The format will be adapted, as it gains momentum, where we will seed entrants and create a Wimbledon type format that seeks to not only professionalise shooting sports but also provide opportunities for the regular amateur to have a chance to get their hands on gold and compete with the professionals.

Quick Note:

The Battle Shot Pistol Series will have 8 Regional events with the top 3 from each event getting free entry, travel and accommodation to The Tactical Nation Championship Week 9-12 October 2025 at Marloo Shooting Range, Gauteng.

The 3rd place playoff therefore has great significance.

ROUND 5 - FINAL & 3RD PLACE SHOOT OUT

3 Stages. The 3rd Place Shootout athletes will complete each stage first followed by the Final Athletes.

This will be a challenging test of marksmanship and fitness designed to give athletes an experience only felt in the final.

We reiterate that the entire competition is developed to ensure, as much as humanly possible, that there is an equal split of physical fitness and marksmanship with pressure from time, from penalties and from the crowds adding a dynamic not experienced anywhere else.

A combined total of time plus points less penalties, from all 3 stages in Round 5, will determine our overall Winner and the 3rd Place winner.

A SHOOTING HANDICAP SYSTEM

The Tactical Nation has appointed some clever blokes who are great at mathematics, statistics and programming to develop a handicap system for shooting sports.

This is something we hope to have ready for testing late in 2025 and Battle Shot will be used as the testing ground.

This is not easy to produce and there are hundreds of elements to consider when doing it but we believe we have found a formula and more importantly checks and balances that should set up shooting as a mainstream sport that can be practiced by any individual and like Golf will allow a beginner to compete with a professional on a level playing field.
